VACANCY: Fruit SA Industry Affairs Manager
Industry Affairs Manager will conduct research, monitor external developments and advice the fruit industry accordingly. The Manager will proactively collate, analyze and share industry information with stakeholders.
Research and analysis of industry information and trends.
Proactively develop messages to address key industry issues, drivers and growth opportunities.
Monitor and advice the fruit industry of external policy developments relevant to the industry.
Represent Fruit SA at various industry and other stakeholder engagements.
Disseminate industry information through written reports, media articles, blogs and presentations.
Develop and maintain strong networking and working relationships with key stakeholders. Identify necessary resources to achieve organization goals; working with the CEO to secure financial resources. Engage potential donors and coordinate fund raising activities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics or any other relevant field, preferably supported by a post-grad qualification.
At least 3 – 4 year’s work experience.
Above average statistical and analytical skills with proven ability to source, analyse and package data.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Computer proficiency in the MS Office suite.
Project Management skills and experience of designing, managing and delivering high quality outputs on time.
Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic understanding of the agricultural industry in South Africa across the value chain and stakeholder fraternities.
The ability to work independently as part of a small team in a dynamic environment.
Negotiable package, dependent on experience and qualification.
